Here Goes… 1st Glucorein Log

Finally the parcel from US came. I blogged abt Glucorein in my earlier post here. So I decided to start taking it just after breakfast on the 1st day of the fasting month.

In the box, came 30 small sachets that would last me a whole month.

Like what the instructions said, I mixed the powder with 8 to 16 ounces of liquid and mix with cut fruits.

For me its about half a mug and I mixed it with cut strawberries. I have never been a fan of supplements. I would start on them and then stop halfway. But I guess if I wanna see result, I better be taking this regularly.

Glucorein for PCOS – Glucorein’s main ingredient is chlorogenic acid, and it also contains L-Cycsteine, which is a naturally occurring amino acid. L-Cysteine has been shown to reduce BMI, fasting insulin, free testosterone (major problem for those of us with PCOS), and menstrual irregularity.

Taste – It’s like powdered version of ice lemon tea to me. It has a bitter sweet taste to it. Taken from PCOS Diva’s site, it has stevia, monk fruit (a Chinese fruit packed with antioxidants and Vitamin C) cranberry and lemon in it.

Dr. J ever mentioned that I am clomid resistant and hence taking metformin has no effect on my system. But if you are on metformin, it’s still safe to take this supplement as well.

So far it has been 4 days that I have been taking it. Still too early to say if there’s any effect on me. We’ll just wait and see. Hopefully the cycle will come back naturally. They say that you’ll start to see results within 2 to 3 months, which may differ from each different individual.
